Hi , my name is Jill Taylor.

Since leaving full time education I have devoted most of my time and effort to creating and developing illustrations for the enjoyment of young children.

I have always been passionate about the subject of art. Throughout my childhood right up to the present day I have taken pleasure in observing the illustrations of different artists and admired how they manage to captivate their onlookers.

Over the last couple of years I have been compiling a portfolio of artwork consisting mainly of story book style illustrations. I work mainly with acrylic and water colour paints and my favourite subjects are images of Christmas , teddy bears , children and cute animals depicting human characteristics placed in various scenarios .

My designs are aimed at the younger generation although all ages may enjoy them.

I have been inspired and have learnt a great deal from many talented artists.

My son has been a great inspiration to me and my work also. He loves ploughing through story books. Whenever I complete a painting he is always there to pay me compliments and give me the confidence to continue producing artwork , as are the rest of my family. I particularly wish to thank my mother for all her help and support and my partner Ian for being so supportive and understanding and for giving me the encouragement to persist in my desired profession.

I realize that children's illustration is a competitive market to enter in to , however I have much determination and dedication to succeed.

I have been very fortunate to live at a time when we have so much technology at our finger tips and with the aid of my scanner , computer and the world wide web I have hopefully increased my chances of reaching my goal.

I have created this website so that I may share my paintings with you all and hopefully fulfill my ambition of being given the opportunity to have  my illustrations published.

I would love to hear from anyone who is interested in my artwork or who can offer me any advice in furthering  my chances of becoming an established illustrator.
